Page Annotator lets you select webpage elements or areas, write annotations, and copy the annotations with location clues for use in a tool of your choice.

Information accessed and stored

After you activate the extension on a page, it reads the current URL and the selected page structure, including visible element text, CSS selectors, tag names, roles, coordinates and viewport size. For a selected area, it samples up to five element location clues. Visible page text and URLs can contain personal or confidential information depending on the page you choose.

Saved annotations contain the text you enter, selected element/area information and timestamps. They are stored in `chrome.storage.local`, grouped by the full page URL, including its query and fragment. Floating-button visibility and clear-after-copy preferences are also stored locally. Draft annotations remain in page memory until saved, canceled or the page is reloaded. The current page title is included when you copy annotations.

The extension does not read cookies, input values, passwords, browser history or clipboard contents. It does not capture screenshots or read complete page HTML. It does not monitor pages where you have not activated it. Selected visible text may nevertheless contain information you consider sensitive; choose your targets and shared notes accordingly.

Use, transmission and sharing

Information is used only to provide the annotation and copy features. The extension makes no network requests to upload annotations and includes no analytics, advertising, remote AI calls or remotely executed code. The publisher does not receive, sell or share your annotations or page data.

When you click Copy, the extension writes the export to your system clipboard. Other software or clipboard services on your device may handle it according to their own settings. If you paste it into an AI agent or another service, that service's privacy policy applies. The extension does not select an agent or send data to it automatically.

Retention and deletion

Saved annotations remain in local extension storage until you delete them, clear the current page, remove the extension or clear its storage. Clearing page annotations does not reset either UI preference. The extension does not sync annotation data through `chrome.storage.sync`. There is no developer-side copy to retrieve or delete.

Permissions

• `activeTab`: temporary access to the page where you invoke the extension.
• `scripting`: inject the annotation interface into that page after a user action.
• `storage`: save annotations and interface preferences locally.
• `clipboardWrite`: copy annotations only when you request it; it does not grant clipboard reading.

使用、傳輸與分享

資訊只用來提供備註及複製功能。工具不透過網路上傳備註，沒有分析追蹤、廣告、遠端 AI 呼叫或遠端程式碼。發佈者不會接收、出售或分享你的備註及頁面資料。

按下複製時，工具會將匯出文字寫入系統剪貼簿。裝置上的其他軟體或剪貼簿服務可能依各自設定處理該文字。你將內容貼到 AI Agent 或其他服務後，適用該服務的隱私政策。本工具不會替你指定 Agent 或自動送出資料。

保存與刪除

資料保留在本機擴充儲存空間，直到你刪除備註、清除本頁、移除擴充或清除其儲存空間。清除本頁不會重設介面偏好。不使用 `chrome.storage.sync` 同步備註，發佈者也沒有備份可供取回或刪除。

權限

• `activeTab`：在你呼叫擴充後，暫時存取目前頁面。
• `scripting`：在你操作後，將備註介面注入該頁面。
• `storage`：在本機保存備註與介面偏好。
• `clipboardWrite`：只在你要求時複製備註；不授予讀取剪貼簿權限。
